In today’s world, the increasing population has led to a higher density of cars on the roads. This has resulted in a major issue of car parking and its management, especially in crowded areas and marketplaces. To address this problem, we have introduced a unique and innovative solution – the RFID IOT based car parking system module. This system allows for more effective control and management of car parking.
In this system, each car is allocated an RFID tag containing the car owner’s details, parking slot, and duration. When a car owner arrives to park their car, they are given an RFID tag with their information. A RFID Screen Indicator guides them to their parking slot in the parking area.
To start the parking timer, the car owner swipes their RFID tag on the RFID card reader. When they return to retrieve their car, they swipe the tag again to stop the timer and generate the parking bill. The RFID tag is then returned to the parking area supervisor for billing and transaction management.
The RFID based car parking system allows for easy management and control of car parking, even in high traffic areas. This system is being implemented in smart cities to simplify the process and reduce traffic congestion. The cost of the RFID IOT based car parking system is affordable, easy to install, and requires minimal manpower to operate. This results in lower operating, administrative, and maintenance costs compared to manual parking systems.
The technology used in the project includes Embedded C Language for hardware interface coding, PHP for business logic and web interface, MySQL for database management, Apache 2 for server hosting, JavaScript for form validations and animation effects, and JQuery Library for additional functionalities like calendars.
