In today’s world, not a single task is completed without the use of the Internet and modern technology. To make work more convenient and efficient, many schools have adopted the use of RFID student attendance systems developed with IoT platforms.
RFID, which stands for radio frequency identification, is an attendance system integrated with a database system. This system primarily uses tags, with ID cards being used to take attendance. The traditional method of managing attendance in schools was a critical issue, as it consumed a lot of time and sometimes led to mistakes. However, with the automated RFID system, each student is provided with a unique card containing an RFID code. When the card is placed in front of the code reader, the system checks if the details match a registered student. If confirmed, the attendance is accepted; otherwise, a rejection message is displayed.
The RFID system stores all information related to students, including attendance, leaves taken, and attendance deadlines. Teachers no longer need to take attendance manually, as everything is managed by the system.
