In the past, many frauds and mismanagements occurred in offices, especially in government offices, during attendance tracking. Many people took advantage of the poor attendance system by marking fake attendance or using proxies. The management of attendance records is crucial in offices as it determines the payment of salaries to employees. To address this issue, a new system known as the RFID-based employee attendance system has been implemented.
The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based attendance management system is now widely used. This system improves data accuracy and staff efficiency by recording the attendance and salary information of each employee.
The RFID attendance system is essential as it impacts work performance, employee salaries, firm productivity, and future progress. This system works on a tag and chip basis, where a special chip containing unique information is read by an RFID reader.
Technology Used in the RFID Based Employee Attendance System Project
The project utilizes various technologies to develop the user interface for the RFID Based Employee Attendance System:
- Embedded C Language: Hardware interface coding is done in Embedded C Language
- PHP: Business logic and web interface are written in PHP
- MySQL: MySQL database is used for the project
- Apache 2: The web interface runs on the Apache2 server
- JavaScript: Used for form validations and animation effects
- JQuery Library: Various jQuery Library components, such as Calendar, are utilized in the project
